The littlest is leaving

Those who know me quite well understand that I live in the house with a bunch of kids apart from my parents. They are my nieces and nephews. Their parents work during the day so they are either at school or in the house with us. Recently my brother got accepted to a better company based in Jakarta therefore he is moving there along with his family. His daughter is the littlest niece. She's moving to Jakarta too. Tonight is their departure.

Although she has not been the most behaving little creature to us, lately I feel sad thinking about the fact she's moving town. She will grow up there barely without us, unlike the other kids in the house. The other kids and I are quite closer than I am to this little niece. That doesn't mean we are not close.

We know that we will be visiting them in Jakarta in one month time and they will be visiting us here easily. That thought is what keeps us not too sad about them leaving. This blog post is made for her and perhaps one day she will be old enough to be able to read and understand this. I have not been the best uncle to her but we certainly had lots of fun together.

There is one phrase that is quite unique for us (the kids and I) that I keep saying and only the kids can understand. It is "somadiga". I am pretty sure it does not make any sense to many people. It is not a word in Indonesian. I came up with the word which was originally a sentence that then became a single word. There is a reply to that made phrase, and only the kids know it.

I am now in the library. I've been here since 8 this morning. There is a problem with the wifi connection at home so I am here to use the internet connection so that I can write and post this post. I'm also waiting until the store where I will get the wifi router serviced is open. Today seems to be quite busy even it's not going to be productive.
