Birthday, Fish, School & Dragon

The past month has been filled with some interesting events. Events that are related to my life with school, family, friends and my new pets that I'll talk about in a bit. But, of course, I do feel bad for not taking enough time to take care of this precious blog of mine. Speaking of which, I did make some changes here and there that may not be so noticeable (the twitter button is now linked to my new twitter profile). I've been thinking of going for a new theme for the whole layout and design but I never took time to look for the new idea for the new theme -which I'm feeling bad for. By the way I will do a quick recap of what has happened since my previous post.

Birthday
My niece celebrates her birthday in the month of January. We happened to be on our own in the house for everyone else was headed for Jakarta for over a week long. Therefore my niece, my nephew and I had to celebrate the day alone. This is what I made for her as a surprise given to her by the time she got home from school.

Later that day we went to have early dinner. They agreed to go with my idea of a game during the dinner. So basically we didn't make the order for our own food and drink. My niece made the order for me; I made the order for her; and two of us made the order for my little nephew. We basically had to eat whatever was ordered for us, no matter what. Although at the end we had a taste of every order on the table. It was quite fun, we thought.

New pets
The past month I've been crazy about fishes. I bought a rather big fish tank and filled it with small fishes and quite a lot of shrimps. Let me show you what is in the fish tank today. But I don't have every photo of each of fish tank tenants.
1. Neon tetra
2. Albino neon tetra
3. Kohli loaches
4. Male betta
5. Cory
6. Pink zebra
7. Golden shelled snails
8. Apple snails
9. Japonica shrimps
10. Red cherry shrimps
11. Lily shrimps
12. Pinocchio shrimps
I also crowded the tank with rocks and a log that I put in the center. Some of the fishes love to hide in between the big rocks. Meanwhile most of the shrimps love to hang on the log.

Back to school
This week was the first week of the new semester. This semester is going to be all about writing a thesis, which is obviously going to be stressful -as normal.

My second time
Only a few days ago I went to this annual festival to celebrate the Chinese new year, for the second time since last year. And, only a few hours before I write this I went to see a dragon carnaval. I'll show some pictures below.

That's it, I guess. I'm sure I could do much better with a longer, more descriptive post but I may need to save some words for the next post so it won't be up until the next one month or something (again)!

Good night!
