I love the painting. I love the frame.
But...
Together, the painting in the frame, me doesn't like!
It's a tree with white leaves. In real life, the canvas doesn't look as bright as it is in the photo. Imagine an old crusty white paper. That's the color of the canvas.I have a feeling it is the color of the canvas which is sort of creamy. I think if it was slightly brighter, it would be much better looking.
I hope you agree with me! I wanna hear from you. Because I can always make a new painting on a brighter canvas... if such thing exists(!). Hehehe.
Oh, and, you think the painting is too simple?
BTW, here's the vlog of the day since this post was too short(!). In the video I showed where I'm planning to place the painting.
hmmm, that could always be the case.. things look perfect but when they are all put together, you just feel like there's something lack and wrong yet you can't name it at your fingertips..

Deleteanyway, art is a very subjective and impulsive thing.. maybe put the thing aside, have a sweet dream tonight, wake up tomorrow morning and you may find it beautiful.. :)

DeleteI like the painting, but the frame doesn't do it justice. A simple outline without the gold would look better. You don't want a frame to take away from the painting. If it's on canvas, I'm quite fond of just having it stretched and skipping the frame altogether.

DeleteI like the painting too. Maybe it would look better in a plain black frame? I think that would show off the tree more. Or like Yum List suggested without a frame might work too.
