There's a rainbow behind me

I got to admit that some events happen weirdly for a positive unexpected reason. Okay, so, today my mom asked me to pick up her medicines at this particular pharmacy which, if I gave you the specific name and place, you wouldn't have any idea where it was anyway. So, I wasn't really excited to do it as much as I care about her health condition and stuff. I was just being a little lazy and had some work to do even though it was that much at all. You know, one of those days. Oh, well, I said to her to give me an hour or two.

Much later, I decided to go about an hour before my Japanese class just so I could kill the time. I rode my bike. And, only about 200 meters away from home on the way I realized I was on a wrong road that I wouldn't normally take if I headed towards the direction where the pharmacy was located. I realized it, like, after I turned right instead of left and it was only 3 meters away from the right turn. So, basically, I could have done a U turn quickly. But, I didn't. I was "Erh, what the heck I'm taking this way this time". It was just a little further and going around a little bit.

M'kaaay, too long and boring for an intro. Let's just get to the point already!

About 200 meters from where I realized I was on a wrong road, I noticed these people standing on the sides of the bridge looking up to the darkening sky. Obviously, I looked up to the same direction. And, WOW! There was this huge, beautiful, amazing, wonderful looking rainbow in the clear sky. It wasn't raining. No trees blocked the view. It was wow-ing all the passerby-s.

I parked my bike aside and allow myself to admire the decorated clear sky.

Here are some footage (taken using my iPhone 4, so, excuse the quality):

I realized it was actually a double rainbow!

You can see very clearly Merapi mountain as the tallest one back there. How beautiful and rare this view was!

It was either AirAsia or LionAir.

And, this is the other end of the rainbow.

Of course, I made sure that I had a photo of me taken with the rainbow in the background. Only problem was the rainbow was already starting to disappear by the time I had this photo taken. But, you can still see a small bit of it back there in the photo, can't you? Well, I can! :D

I had to slightly darken all the photos just so the rainbow became more obvious. The original photos are pretty bright. It was quite difficult to pick up the details on the rainbow bit.

I don't know about you but this was, like, my very first time to be photographed with a rainbow. In my life, that is pretty rare. Of course, I've seen many rainbows since I was a kid but never before been photographed with one. So, yea, I'm pretty happy.

And, speaking of happy, *if*(!) I didn't delay the time and took the usual road, I swear I would not have experienced the rare event! So, hell yeah, I was so happy that it happened! I kept thinking to myself on my way to the pharmacy "Oh my God, I was meant to witness that. I was meant to take the wrong road. I was meant to delay the time. That was awesome!"

So, yeah, that's basically what I had to share today.
Oh, and I made it safe to the pharmacy and returned safe as well :D That's another happiness because I lost the tiny bit of grumpiness that I had had :D

Bueno! Mucho beuno! ;))

The other day we went out to get some snacks from a local warung and found this very cool tree trunk! It was like a huge key hole.

  5. Yes, Daisy, it was actually a very good experience as a lesson for me that sometimes you are just meant to be somewhere. I think it's more about really taking advantage of the moment or situation that you are in by looking for the bright side of it. :D

  6. That's like a magical, mystical double rainbow! Did you make a wish on it? :D

(Or maybe there were two pots of gold, instead of just one, at the end of the rainbows?)

  15. Make a wish the next time you see a rainbow!

(And afterward, chase its tail and look for a pot of gold! Leprechauns do exist! Or so I understand from a recent episode of GLEE. Hehe.)
