Halloweened wall

Today was quite a long day. Now I'm pretty tired as it's getting closer to midnight. You can watch this one min long video of me telling you what I was gonna do today.

For those of you who are not aware of my little project, I might need to explain one more time. So, everyday I make a video that lasts under one minute. Today is my third day so, yea, I just started two days ago. You can visit this link if you're interested in seeing other videos: YouTube.com/RadVlogsEveryday. The project should end on January 20th, 2013.

In the video I mentioned that one of the things that I would do today was sticking stickers on to my wall. So, I did. These stickers, I've had them since 2002, I believe. I didn't live in this island of Java yet. I bought them at a toy store. I was so much interested in them because they were Halloween themed. At that time I was so mad about Harry Potter and anything that was related to witches and stuff. Yea, I gotta admit, I was one of those weirdos that didn't pay attention to school instead(?)

However, we then moved house and island, really. So, I had to keep them back in their box. We then moved house again so I didn't have time to actually settle in one room. But, now I have my own room. I decorated it. Painted the wall. And, today I decided to use the stickers again for the second time after almost 10 freaking years. To me that's crazy. I didn't think I would still keep the stickers for so long.

By the way, as usual, I'm just gonna show you some photos of me and the kids with the stickers and my painted wall.

Here's my painted wall. Made this painting back in 2005. This is a before picture.

Also a before picture.

The stickers. As you may be able to see (sorry that they may seem too small), there are flying witches, haunted houses, Dracula, lots of bats, etc. They certainly can look pretty creepy ;))

Me sticking another sticker on to the wall. Yup, I needed a ladder.

Voila! Done.

Some crazy guy in an awkward position.

My two helpers. Thanks, kids!

You know who.

Another you know who.

Oooh, did I mention that they glow in the dark? ;) They are quite bright in the dark! Awesome!

Ooooooh! Happy New Year!! Gong Xi Fat Cai! :D

Post Scriptum
Ooh, for the Chinese New Year, I got this candy. I've known the candy since I was in the 5th grade or younger. Although I never know what it's called since it only has that Chinese writing which I can't read at all ;))
Oh, no, wait, that's weird. I just noticed that that's actually some Japanese writing in white ink... hmmm confusing.

  5. Oh ahahah, we did actually have some spider webs here and there in the house. We have removed them all a few days ago hehe ;p

So, you don't know the name of the candy either? And, yes! It's like everything is made in China, right?! Ahahahah. I wonder if I was 'made' in China too...

  6. Wehey! Cool! :D I stuck some of star stickers on my room ceiling when I was little but they fell off one by one because I use a bad glue :P ah well, they could counted as falling stars and I can make a wish *lol*

    Happy Chinese New Year Rad!

  7. Ahaha I almost did the same thing with sticking the stickers on the ceiling but knew they would fall easily. To be honest, I only used a double-tape. I don't know how long they can stick on the wall.

  8. wow, your room is like a never-ending art project! seems like a fun place to be in. anyways, maybe you could do freelance interior design work someday! for shopping mall decorations, museums, galleries, etc. ya, you might need some formal training for that, but it looks like you have the raw talent & passion already! :D

  9. Oh! Thanks, Sean! That was one of the main reasons why I wanted this room back. Hehe.

And, you're actually right. I never thought of taking such training! I'll seriously look for it and take it. It might help me in the future! Thanks for the hint! :)

  11. Really? Well maybe that's why I got it around those years back in 2002 when I was still in school. But I didn't pick them up at the store because it was such a trend hehe

  14. That looks like a very happy room. Nice high ceilings and lots of colour but not too overpowering. I like the glow in the dark stickers too. :-)

  15. Ehehe I actually know that eventually someday I will take the stickers off the wall. But, I do enjoy staring at them right before my sleep. ;))

  16. Oh the last pixz is nice so pitch dark haha. Can you 'sleep' in peace with all those [..] staring at you? Any nightmares or go bananas?

    ReplyDelete
  17. I go to sleep with minimal lights. And, no, they're not scary at all!! Well... actually I can't really see the actual shape of each of them in the dark. I would need to sleep in my glasses for that ahaha so yea ;p

Oh, we have lots of bananas downstairs -which reminds me to have one right now! ;))

    ReplyDelete
  18. I like bananas too. Always have them stocked since I need to eat them before my runs. ;)

Hahahaa sorry for the random comment. xD

  19. that looks like the honey sweet with an assam inside. right?

love the wall that you drew on. reminds me of my room back in my hometown. dad reserved one wall that i could only draw on since i ahd a "bad" habit of drawing everywhere. started off with using my mum's makeup before progressing to oil sticks. i think i should do it in my current house...though i think i need to discuss with hubby "which wall". lol.

  20. yes! it's so sugary sweet on the outside at first hehe

ehehe I did also like to decorate my walls when I was so much younger, with posters, gel pens, and stuff! ;))

I am glad that I have this wall in my room that dad never minds me 'messing up' :D

good luck on the talk with ur hubby! :DD
