Birdie Bird

I just wanted to quickly share with you what happened this early morning.

I was still waking up in my bed when I turned my head to the window due to a noise that was made by something that hit the wooden window. Then I heard a bird. I opened the window to find this little bird. I brought it in.

It was a sparrow. Not an usual one, though. Its beak didn't seem to develop well. The upper beak bent down and inwards while the other one grew as normal. As much as I believed the bird suffered from a physical defect, it wouldn't have grown so big if it had problems with feeding. I was glad to know it could survive this big despite possible defect -although the bird was still an almost-grown-up baby. I did do a research on Google on sparrows and none of the pictures of the birds showed a similarity to this bird's beak.

BTW, I played with it for about half an hour (by play I mean breakfast take photos) and let it go. It flew high and fast. It didn't seem weak at all. Which made me wonder how it could hit the window

Here are some edited photos of the bird. Even if it was a defect, the bird wouldn't be so unique in an interesting way without it.

...
And, of course, shit happens. Literally.

I always get excited when I get to see interesting looking animals nearby me, as long as they are harmless and not annoying :p

  5. Cool! Maybe it was too knocked out to resist capture. LOL

  6. Hehe maybe. But again the bird wasn't weak or anything. It did fly away quickly once I released it

  7. I think there's a place for all of Heaven's little creatures, even those with defects or imperfections. Sweet lil birdie, that. :)

  8. True! I think so, too!
Defects are what makes one different rather than imperfect.

  9. Cute. If possible you should wear gloves when handling birds because the bacteria on your hands may harm them.

Maybe it was just popping over to wish you a happy birthday?

  10. Oops, I forgot about the gloves thing. I got too excited to find the bird outside of my window. I hope it's fine and my hands weren't full of bacteria (at that time!)

and, maybe that's what it wanted to do :)
