Looking gaunt and frail, this was a photo of Steve Jobs seen just after his unexpected departure from Apple in late August 2011.
This picture, taken outside the technology mogul’s California home, fuelled fears that Jobs was nearing the end in his eight-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
...
The 56-year-old Apple founder looked even thinner than he did during his last public appearance two months prior.
Jobs, who founded Apple in his garage in 1976, seemed almost too weak to hold himself up as he prepared to get into a waiting car in Palo Alto, northern California.
He wore a black long-sleeved T-shirt, black shorts and sandals instead of his familiar turtleneck and jeans for the trip to nearby San Francisco, the city where he was born.
I have to admit before I knew Apple, I didn't have so much interest in technology in general. I have a close friend to prove that to you who was there when I got my first Apple gadget. It was an iPod Touch. I have been an Apple fan boy since 2008. Since then I've always followed news on technology and, I have to admit, more specifically on Apple. Since then also, I have admired the work of Steve Jobs with his team in building more and more surprising advanced technology with the Apple's products. Now I've become such a huge tech fan and I blame Apple for that.
It is hard to deny, as much as you probably dislike Apple for some reason, that we would not have had touch screen smart phones like what we have today if Apple did not initiate with their first iPhone. We would have not seen Android phones like what we have seen today.
Steve Jobs was known for his stubborn mind and some people just hated him for that. But, we all know without his stubbornness Apple may have never been known as how we know it today.
And, how will I remember Steve? I will always keep the Apple products that I have now and will take care of them even more because they are part of the most brilliant ideas of Steve's. And, every time I use my iDevices I will always remember him. Without him, you wouldn't see the technology that you can see today.
Today will always be remembered. I've always admired him and Apple.
Thank you, Steve, for having changed the world of technology.
Goodbye.
Rest in peace.
Apple will never be the same.
