Musical Drama: Laskar Pelangi

Last Saturday night I spent with several school mates by going to a musical show, Laskar Pelangi. The story is basically about poor kids living in a pretty remote place in Sumatra and going to this school whose condition is pretty sad. At one scene the only classroom was used to keep goats. There's so much drama, singing, dancing, etc. It was quite fun. The ticket wasn't so expensive so it was definitely worth it. We got the back seats which were to us quite convenient as we could easily stand up if we wanted to or go to the toilet as the exits were also at the back.

Okay, I don't really want to write the whole story here as I'm not really enjoying the idea to do that right now, and it could be pretty boring as well, I bet. But if you were here in person sitting near me, I would tell you more about it for sure.

We arrived at the venue, Jogja Expo Center, at 7pm and left the hall at 11. We then had dinner 'till midnight. Here are a few photos from last night.

Us showing our wrist band for the show.
Mine is right at the bottom with the blue rubber band

Lighting was pretty bad so we all look so dark in this photo(!)

During a 20 min break between the scenes we ran outside for photos like this one ;))

After the show as everyone was walking out

While waiting until it got less crowded...

Another photo... :p

We decided to get as close as possible to the stage

This was the closest we could get(!) Haha we were asked to leave the stage soon after

Snapped another quick photo!

Most of the people have left out while we were still near the stage. Haha. Lame

It was a good night. Hope you had a good, if not better, night as well!
Cheers!

  1. I don't really like going to concert, I find it really hard to see the performance on stage, I rather watch it on TV, =D

I wasn't expecting much that night from the show so it wasn't disappointing.

    1. Hahaha we weren't allowed to take photos while the show was in progress. But, I did sneak to take a couple of photos and they were just ugly so I removed them.
